The Roma Visual Lab is a community film club and university course, promoting conscious media use and sensitivity to social issues. Participants of the film club primarily analyze documentary film representations of Hungarian Roma communities and people of Roma descent, using the tools of critical theory, but the films screened may involve any vulnerable minority community. The film club is committed to building active relationships with Roma and non-Roma communities and cultural institutions with the aim of democratizing and socializing research in the Lab.
